Tooth decay eats away at a tooth. Once we remove the decay, there’s often a cavity left behind. We utilize tooth-colored fillings to fill in the cavity and reshape the tooth. One of the advantages of using a composite resin material is that we can match the shade of your filling to your natural tooth so that most people won’t even be able to tell it’s there.
Crowns, also known as tooth caps, are designed to look like natural, real teeth. They completely cover an existing tooth that needs support. Crowns can correct cracked or chipped teeth, support weak teeth after root canal therapy, protect broken teeth, and more. Dental crowns can also aid in tooth replacement by being a part of a dental bridge or by attaching to a dental implant for single-tooth replacement.
Bridges can replace a single tooth or multiple teeth in a row. They are a prosthesis with dental crowns on both ends and a replacement tooth (or teeth) in the middle. The crowns on a bridge connect to remaining teeth on either side of the gap or to dental implants. Once the crowns are attached, the replacement teeth in the middle fit into the empty space.

A traditional denture fits snugly on the gum line with the help of dental adhesives. An implant-supported denture snaps onto four to eight implants that securely hold it in place throughout the day.

After undergoing dental trauma or having a severe infection, the pulp inside of a tooth may be damaged as well. When this is the case, we can remove the pulp from inside the tooth’s canals and fill in that space with gutta percha to preserve the tooth. Root canal therapy can prevent the need for an extraction down the road. While root canal therapy may sound intimidating, it provides pain relief and restores your tooth’s health.

After we’ve exhausted all other restorative options, we’ll perform a tooth extraction if it’s the only way to preserve your oral health and protect your other teeth. We thoroughly numb the area around the tooth before we remove it and offer sedation options for extra comfort.
