We may need to use a local anesthetic or needle free anesthetic to numb your gums and the roots of your teeth and will use an ultrasonic instruments for the planing and scaling procedure.

Your dentist may place antibiotics into the pockets between your teeth and gums. The antibiotic will help speed healing and prevent infection.
